My wow moment this semester was when I realized just how much I don’t know about technology. Before this class I had considered myself to be pretty knowledgable about what I could do with a computer. Having grown up using technology a lot of the basics are second nature now. However, I have since realized that there is a whole other world out there when it comes to educational technology and I know little to nothing about it. This semester has consisted of a lot of eye opening experiences and has led me to really grow in both the way I view technology, even the more common websites I have been using for years, and how many resources I now have at my disposal. My Pinterest now hots an education board that is full of resources that I have no doubt I will be referring to in the near future. This website too is full of great resources and will be something that I will use a ton in the future. I am very excited about the prospect of having 1:1 technology in my future classroom. I think it makes sense when you think of how much we use technology in our day to day lives. I want to use the many resources I have discovered this semester with my future students to make my lessons more engaging and relevant to what their lives actually look like. Overall, I have learned so much in the class and it is all information that I will use not only in my future classroom, but also in my daily technology use.
